# How do I add a patient to the Practice Dashboard?

## A guide on how to add a patient to the 'Active' or 'Cancer Confirmed' board on the C the Signs Dashboard

#### Step 1

- Open the Dashboard (second button on the C the Signs toolbar)

- Decide where on the dashboard you would like to add the patient.  
  \- The **'Active'** board holds a list of patients with outstanding referrals, FIT tests or other investigations.  
  \- The **'Cancer Confirmed'** board holds a list of patients who have had a cancer diagnosed.

#### Step 2

- Once you have the correct board open, click the '**Add Patient**' **button** on the top left-hand side of the page.

- You will be prompted to enter the patient's NHS number and relevant details regarding the patient you wish to add.
- There is a tick-box at the bottom of the 'Add Patient' page that gives you the option to save a copy in the patient's medical record. If the information is already present, you can skip this option.

- Click on **'Save'** when you are happy. The patient will now be added to the C the Signs Dashboard.
