By the end of this guide, you will be able to allocate an NHS number to the dummy patient successfully.
In order to use C the Signs with a dummy patient, the dummy patient must have
an NHS number attached. The NHS number is also a dummy number, typically we
use 111 111 1111.
Open a dummy patient on EMIS, and click on the ‘Active’ button on the far left of
the screen:
2. Click on the ‘Edit patient details’ button on the bottom right of the screen.
3. Insert a dummy NHS number in the ‘NHS number’ field and click ‘OK’.
If another dummy patient is already using the NHS number 111 111 1111, you will be shown this when you click OK and will need to use an alternative number.
4. Ensure that there are no pop-ups on the selected dummy patient’s record.
If you’ve completed the steps correctly, the NHS number will now display as it’s been
assigned.
