What to do if a patient DNAs their appointment or declines further investigation

  1. Use the ‘Other’ option in the Outcome section. You can select the reason for not investigating further from the drop-down menu.
  2. In this case you could use the ‘Patient did not attend’ or ‘Test/referral refused by patient’ options.
  3. You can then decide whether to keep the patient on the Active tab (if you want to continue to safety-net them) or move them to the Archive board to ‘archive’ the patient.
